Overview
The HGU E-Learning Platform is a fully operational online learning management system built for Highstone Global University, designed to deliver structured academic courses directly to students worldwide. The platform hosts the university’s flagship Diploma in Full Stack Web Development, a comprehensive, beginner to advanced programme covering HTML, CSS, and JavaScript alongside other courses across the institution’s academic catalogue.
Built as a core pillar of HGU’s digital infrastructure, the platform sits alongside the university’s main website, student database, and digital library, forming a complete online academic ecosystem.
Brief & idea
The brief was to create a student facing digital library that felt intuitive, clean, and purposeful. HGU’s student base is globally distributed, so the platform needed to work seamlessly across devices and for users with varying levels of technical familiarity.
The core idea was simplicity with function a browsable catalogue where students can search, preview, and borrow titles in just a few clicks.
I designed the experience around a familiar e-commerce-style interface, repurposed intelligently for a library context, so students could navigate it without any learning curve. The “Borrow A Book” interaction replaced the traditional cart-and-checkout flow, making the experience feel native to academic life rather than transactional

Since launching, the platform has enrolled students across multiple cohorts, with the Full Stack Web Development diploma attracting learners from the university’s global community. The platform reinforces HGU’s positioning as a serious online academic institution giving students a structured, professional learning environment that matches the quality of the university’s broader digital presence.
